NSW and VICTORIA - Snow Chain Requirements

Snow chains are required to be carried by 2WD vehicles travelling to the resorts in NSW and carried by all vehicles travelling to the resorts in Victoria.

Ski Scene has Diamond Pattern chain rental available for most 2WD & 4WDs. Please book early to ensure the size required is in stock.

You must check that your vehicle is able to have chains fitted, as some high performance cars do not have enough clearance. Check the manual or consult the manufacturer via customer support.

Drivers should only fit chains when directed to by authorities. Generally, signs give the required directions.

Penalties can apply if you are caught without snow chains.
